Another timber frame barn by Vermont Timber Works and another happy client. This rough sawn hemlock timber frame will be a working barn. Above shows the finished frame including nailers. Traditional Joinery with pegs extended, a small amount of steel was needed on this timber frame project.
Here are some progress shots, taken by Travis...Enjoy!
Our timber frame bents are assembled on the ground and raised with a lull and/or a crane. We used both on this job.
Above Doug, Dan and Rick are all up on the frame. Much coordination goes into a successful timber frame raising.
MJ and Kellin are helping from below and Rick and Dan work from above.
Vermont Timber Works does not raise all of our timber frames, but the majority of our full timber frame projects, we do.
Hand crafted, custom designed and engineered to suit the needs of each client. That's VTW, don't settle for anything less!
